This dataset was developed to cover private lands in Ada County and does not include the areas in the south of the county largely comprised of the Idaho National Guard Training Area and The Snake River Birds of Prey Natural Area. The original contour data was collected in 2000 and funded through a cooperative effort of various local agencies and private sector funds. COMPASS coordinated the project and the Orthoflight was conducted by 3DI, LLC. out of Eugene, Oregon. 10' Index contours were used for the urban areas and 25' Index contours for the rural areas. These contours were triangulated based on two foot contour lines and processed using ESRI 3D Analyst. The final product is a shapefile containing 350,907 polygons. There are four slopecode classes attributed with degree and percentage of slope. The file is 244 MB, it is available on CD by Public Information Request. |
